Stories Worth Remembering

TVH

T.V. Haugen

T.V. Haugen writes military science fiction that explores first contact, moral dilemmas, and the cost of command. His stories live at the intersection of hard choices and vast frontiers, where the decisions of a few can shape the fate of many.

Drawing on a deep fascination with frontier narratives, ethics under pressure, and the tension between duty and survival, Haugen crafts stories that ask uncomfortable questions: What happens when the chain of command breaks down? What is first contact really worth? And who decides the rules when there are no rules left?

The Vagrant Suns is his debut series, following the crew of the survey vessel Vagrant Wanderer as they confront an alien mystery that will rewrite humanity's understanding of its place in the cosmos.

Why "Munin"?

In Norse mythology, Odin kept two ravens: Huginn (Thought) and Muninn (Memory). Every day they flew across the world and returned to whisper everything they had seen into Odin's ear. Of the two, the old stories say Odin feared most for Muninn — because without memory, thought is hollow.

We named this publishing house for Odin's raven of memory because we believe the same thing about stories. The best fiction isn't just entertaining in the moment — it stays with you. It lodges in your memory and changes the way you see the world, one page at a time.

Munin Publishing is an independent imprint dedicated to military science fiction that rewards re-reading, respects your intelligence, and stays with you long after the last page. We believe in stories worth remembering.
